What is DNS in pharmacy? DNS stands for deviated nasal septum. This condition affects approximately 80% of the population and is caused by a deformity of the septum, the wall that divides the nasal cavity into two equal halves. Other causes of DNS include injuries to the nose, respiratory tract obstructions, or the common cold. A person with a deviated septum may experience a variety of symptoms, including alternating nose blocks and coughing.
DNS is a condition that may arise from a birthing process. A baby delivered naturally is normally in the left or right occiput anterior position, and the nose of the baby presses on the walls of the mother’s uterus and the hip bone of the mother. However, certain instruments may be used to pull the baby’s head out of the uterus. In either case, the baby is exposed to a high level of pressure, resulting in DNS.
DNS records contain instructions for the DNS server. They tell the server which domain names are associated with each IP address. For example, an “A” record refers to the actual domain IP address. Other records are “CNAME” records containing information about subdomains. A “MX” record lists mail servers associated with the domain. “NS” records indicate the nameservers associated with a domain. A “SOA” record contains crucial information about the domain, such as nameserver addresses. “TXT” records are optional and can contain other information that the owner wants to include.
There are two types of DNS queries: recursive. A recursive DNS query queries the authoritative DNS name server in a recursive way. When a DNS query hits a DNS server, it makes multiple recursive queries. Then, if a DNS query is answered successfully, the server returns the answer. This process repeats until a resource record is found.
DNS caching is another way to improve response time. By caching DNS data closer to the client, DNS queries can be processed faster. Caching DNS data in browsers reduces bandwidth and response time. Most browsers cache DNS data by default. When a DNS request is made, the cache is checked first, before the local DNS resolver server. This allows the client to use DNS records without wasting valuable bandwidth. This helps the computer run smoothly.
